Terms of Service
The rules of using FitterBill: what the service does, what you are responsible for, how the subscription works and how to cancel.
01The agreement
These terms are between you and ALD Installations Ltd ("we", "us"), the operator of FitterBill. By creating an account you accept them.
FitterBill is a business tool. It is provided to companies and self employed tradespeople, not to consumers.
02What the service does
FitterBill turns the hours and jobs you record into invoices: it applies the rate bands you configure, works out VAT if you are registered, assigns sequential invoice numbers and produces a PDF.
The service assists you. It does not replace your judgement, your accountant or your legal duties.
03You check before you send
Every invoice must be reviewed and approved by you before it is finalised. Features that read photos or messages use automated recognition, which can misread handwriting, numbers or names.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you send to your clients, including rates, hours, VAT treatment and invoice numbering. We are not responsible for an invoice you approved.
04Free trial and subscription
New accounts get a 7 day free trial with no card required. When the trial ends, access to the service stops unless you subscribe.
Prices are shown on our website. Business plans are quoted excluding VAT; the fitter plan is quoted including VAT. Subscriptions renew automatically for the period you chose until you cancel.
05Referrals
If someone joins as a paying fitter through your referral link, you receive a discount in the month that referral is made, up to a maximum of 50 per cent of your subscription for that month.
Referrals must be genuine. Accounts created to obtain a discount without real use may have discounts removed.
06Cancelling
You can cancel at any time. Your subscription stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and it is not renewed after that. We do not charge a cancellation fee.
Before you leave, you can download your invoices. Ask us if you want a copy of your data.
07Acceptable use
When using FitterBill you agree not to:
- Use the service for anything unlawful, or to invoice for work that was not carried out.
- Attempt to access another account, or to bypass the limits and protections of the service.
- Resell or rebrand the service as your own without our written agreement.
- Upload content you have no right to use, including logos or documents belonging to others.
08Availability
We work to keep the service running and available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted. We may carry out maintenance, and we depend on providers such as our hosting and database platforms.
If the service is unavailable for a long period, contact us and we will look at your subscription fairly.
09Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business or indirect loss.
10Changes and law
We may update these terms. If a change affects you materially we will tell you before it takes effect, and you may cancel if you do not accept it.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. Questions: hello@fitterbill.co.uk.
